Recently, he has expanded his research into a new area: artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine. Specifically, his lab has developed unique algorithms for medical research, including, for example, the diagnosis of human lymphoma with high accuracy by reading pathological slides (Li D, Bledsoe JR, Zeng Y, Liu W, Hu Y, Bi K, Liang A, Li S. A deep learning diagnostic platform for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma with high accuracy across multiple hospitals. Nature Communications. 11(1):6004, 2020).
