The Opportunity:

This Registrar Assistant position has primary responsibility for readmission for undergraduate students, customer service, and as a member of the front desk. It also serves to support other record changes and processes within UCF's Student Success and Well-Being.

Responsibilities:


  • Evaluates readmission applications and student academic credentials to determine readmission and residency eligibility.

  • Reviews college transcripts, accreditation, and computing GPA.

  • Serves as Registrar Office liaison to colleges, schools, and academic departments concerning readmission policies and appeals.

  • Counsels students and parents regarding UCF readmission policies and processes.

  • Serves as backup for the residency reclassification process.

  • Supports the Registrar Office front desk student services, including (but not limited to) assistance with course registration, registration holds, course withdrawals, grade changes, grade forgiveness, name and address changes, residency reclassification, readmission, major and minor change requests, transient student requests, transcript and certification requests, degree audits, transcript credit and evaluation, student records review.

  • Responds to inquiries received in the readmit email account.

  • Maintains close coordination of all readmission activities with the supervisor including management of records.


Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant toFla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in higher education.

  • Excellent problem-solver and customer advocate.

  • Ability to interpret rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Experience in sound decision-making and problem assessment

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to handle difficult situations and to work with a diverse student population.

  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.

  • Ability to review work for accuracy and quality of content.

  • Ability to determine work priorities and ensure proper completion of work.
